Singer Vicky Sunday was playing with many well-known and experienced musicians at the beginning of his career, among others with Michi Szabo, the keyboardist of the world-famous Krokus and Peta Lukács, the most acknowledged Hungarian guitarist.
His first own EP entitled 'Awake on Planet Sounday' was released at the end of the 90s. His music was powered by a wide range of impacts. Vicky was listening to Deep Purple, Jimmy Hendrix and The Doors in his childhood; later on he switched over to Faith No More, Pantera, Dream Theater and Skid Row. All these influences were serving as a good base for him to create his own sound in the early years.
In 2002 his 'Mosaic' EP came out. Its style was between rock and metal with some progressive influences, which Vicky calls 'neo-hardrock'. The single received positive feedback not only from the home trade press, but from abroad as well. Also a record label in Florida showed interest in his music.
In 2004 he founded a band called Sounday INC. They released an EP and an LP, and their music video was regularly played by the music channel VIVA TV.
Between 2005 and 2008 Vicky gave some concerts also in Germany, the Netherlands and Serbia.
In 2006 he turned up in the film called 'Lora' starring Lucia Brawley and also appeared as a guitarist in the Orange Telecom commercials worldwide.
In 2011 he re-instrumented his songs in the style of jazz and world music for a theater premiere, where he performed with a special formation of 8 members (incl. African percussions, saxophone, violin, acoustic guitars).
Vicky Sunday's new album will be released at the end of 2014.
