Ha előre veszed a dánokat, az este korai szakaszában, lemaradnak a máshol alapozók, akiknek erről egyáltalán nem lett volna szabad lemaradniuk. Viszont hozzáadott adalékanyagok nélkül is szilárd alapot szolgálatnak a képzeletbeli tortánkhoz. A The White Dominosról már írtam a Rockstar Dürer Kertben megrendezett szülinapi bulija kapcsán, én már ott megszerettem a srácokat, feltétlenül meg kívántam hallgatni (és nézni) őket most is. Nem mellesleg négy nagyon csinos fiatalemberről van szó, akik szerencsére nagyon jó barátságot ápolnak az Ozone Mamával, ezért időről időre ellátogatnak hozzánk, és ez nagyon jó. Azon kívül, hogy hihetetlen szerethető muzsikát játszanak, jól kommunikálnak a más anyanyelvű hallgatósággal, nagyon tehetségesek és végtelenül kedves emberek. Örömmel bandáznak a rájuk kíváncsiakkal, benne vannak minden tréfában, kölcsönadják a bundájukat, fel lehet ugrani a hátukra, nagyon szimpatikus társaság. Bejöttek meghallgatni a többi zenekart is, ha ilyen szakmai barátságok léteznek Európában és a világban, úgy érzem, talán még nincs veszve minden. Egyetlen szívfájdalmam, hogy kimaradt az I Want You című húzódal, ellenben bemutatták új kislemezüket, a Like Ghost-ot. De annyi baj legyen, majd meghallgatjuk a kimaradt dalokat legközelebb, amikor jönnek. Mert a másnapi soproni koncerten is nagy sikerük volt, ha jók az értesüléseim, így bizonyos, hogy látjuk még őket Magyarországon.
A középen játszó Hollywoodoo koncertjére bevallom őszintén, nem nagyon emlékszem, a The White Dominos után az ív nem nagyon indult meg felfelé, bár nagyon vártam. Kellemes rockzene, de nem több (és nem is kevesebb, szerencsére). Ezért beszéltem fentebb az arányokról, maradjunk abban, hogy ők voltak a töltelék a sütinkben.
És elérkeztünk a torta habjához! Tíz óra utánra már elég jól benépesült a KisHall, és végre belecsapott az Ozone Mama, akik nemcsak habbal, hanem még csokiszórással és díszítéssel is készültek a csütörtöki koncertre. A zenekar háza táján sokminden történt, mióta legutóbb találkoztam velük: megjelent a legújabb lemezük, a Sonic Glory, amelyet már a mostani, meglehetősen stabilnak tűnő felállásban vettek fel. Amikor végighallgattam a korongot, úgy éreztem, Jack Kerouac Úton című regényébe csöppentem, végigmentem a Route 66-en és láttam azt, hogy lesz egy kisfiúból a tapasztalok gyűjtésével felnőtt férfi. Az út alatt elkövet néhány gazemberséget, benne van pár balhéban, szerelmes lesz, találkozik jövendőmondó cigánylánnyal, nehéz időket él át, hívják a szirének, egyfajta odüsszeuszi kirándulás ez. Két dalt emelnék ki, az egyik az, amelyikre a koncerten bemutatott videoklip készült, Hard Times címmel, húzós, indulásra ösztönző nóta. A másik pedig az itt először előadott Hope című. Van egy ismerősöm, aki a múltkor a Google segítségével keresett „szerelmes-szerelmeskedős” zenét. Hát jelentem, megvan, a Hope az. Gyönyörű, érzelmes, kicsit a 80-as évek újhullámos lassú számait is idéző nóta ez, ami kivétel nélkül mindenkit megérintett.
Szóval nagyon ízlett a torta, nem volt benne ízfokozó adalékanyag, hanem rendes, igazi hangszerekkel játszott, zseniális muzsika volt. Mert kell a valódi rockzene, mint egy falat kenyér.

The White Dominos, Hollywoodoo, Ozone Mama

Take a great Danish band, a rock band from Veszprém and hard rock played by phenomenal boys from Budapest, then knead them and throw it into the aquarium.
When kneding (if it’s not succeed at the first time, try again next time), make sure that the order is good, add the ingredients to each other, beware the rates.
If you take the Danes ahead early in the evening, people, who begin the party elsewhere, they do not get there in time. But there is no additives in their music for our imaginary cake. I have written of The White Dominos when they played for the first time in Budapest at the RockStar birthday party held in Dürer Kert this year, I fell in love with the guys, I definitely wanted to listen to (and watch) them now. By the way, they are four very handsome young man, who fortunately is very good friendship with the Ozone Mama, so visit us time to time and it is very good. Incredible they play likeable music, well communicate with other native audience, very talented and extremely nice people. They are happy to connect with the people who are interested in them, they participate in every joke, lend their coat, you can jump on their backs, very sympathetic company. They came to listen to the other bands, if such a friendships exist between bands in Europe and in the world, I feel that everything is okay. My only pain was that they not played the song I Want You, but they presented their new single, Like a Ghost. But it’s not a big trouble, we can listen all the other songs next time, when they’ll come to Budapest. Because the next day's concert was a great success in Sopron - if I have good information – I’m sure that we can see them even in Hungary.
I do not remember exactly Hollywoodoo (who played second) concert I confess honestly, after The White Dominos the mood is not started up, although I was looking forward. That was a good action in the end of their concert, when they played the Star Wars-theme for joke, but I cannot tell you much about them. Pleasant rock music, but no more (nor less fortunately). That is why I talked about above, the rate is important, they were the filling in our cake.
And now we arrived to the whipped cream of the cake! For 10 o’clock there were very much people in the SmallHall, and finally struck the Ozone Mama, who was not just cream, but also a chocolate decoration of the Thursday concert.
A lot of things happened around the band since last time I met them: released the latest album, Sonic Glory, which has been recorded with the currently, very stabile band-mebers. When I listened to the disc, I felt myself in Jack Kerouac's novel On the road, I went along the Route 66 and I saw that a little boy grow up will be an adult man while he is collecting experiences. During the drive he takes participate in some rascality, in a few aggro, he falls in love, meet a Gypsy fortune teller girl, he’s going through difficult times, called by the Sirens, this is a kind of Odysseus-tour. My favourite in this evening were two songs: first, we saw the new video clip of the song called Hard Times, which they presented at the concert. This was catchy, and cool. The other one was Hope that they first presented here. I have a friend of mine, who searched a “love-making " music in Google one time. Well, I have to report him, that we’ve got it, it is Hope. Beautiful, emotional, the mood is a little bit like '80s new wave songs, it touched everyone in the audience.
Whatever I really liked this cake, it was not a flavor-enhancing additive, but the music was brilliant, played with real instruments. Because we need the real rock music, like a piece of bread.
